Abstract

In June 2022, Jawa Tengah experienced inflation of 0.85 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 111.32. Of the six CPI cities in Jawa Tengah, all cities experienced inflation.
The main cause of inflation in Jawa Tengah in June 2022 is the increase in prices for red chili, cayenne pepper, shallots, air transportation, and broiler eggs. The main driver of inflation in Jawa Tengah is the decline in the price of cooking oil, broiler meat, garlic, inter-city transportation, and laptops/notebooks.
The inflation rate for the calendar year in June 2022 is 3.75 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2022 to June 2021) is 4.97 percent.
