Abstract

BPS Statistics presents the Gender Inequality Index (IKG) as one of the development indicators that measures the inequality of achievement between women and men in 3 (three) dimensions, namely reproductive health, empowerment, and the labor market. The IKG study was conducted by BPS from 2017 to 2022. BPS adopted the calculations used by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in compiling the 2010 Gender Inequality Index (GII) with several adjustments.
